Street Kid needs to keep covered this Winter
Last year it was the return of the denim shirt – and this winter fashionistas are embracing that ultimate style must-have, the denim jacket to keep them covered as the temperature drops. And as much as I don't consider myself a fashionista, the streets of Jo'burg do get bloody cold in Winter so I got to keep covered too.
And guess what? Wrangler has just introduced a mix of ultimate denim jackets for the season, along with its new fit Greensboro jean. I cannot wait to get my hands on these....
One of Wrangler’s key denim innovations, way back in 1964, was the introduction of “Broken Twill” - the unique zigzag fabric weave that eliminates leg seam-twisting problem even when denim is washed. This unique “Broken Twill” denim weaving technology has further enhanced the comfort, durability and flexibility of denim-wear. Oooooh, now it makes sense. I was wondering why my jeans were twisting.
I did say that I don't consider myself a fashionista but when you hear "comfort, durability and flexibility of denim-wear", who wouldn't want to get their hands on such product? After all, Street Kid is always asking for donations so investing in good quality denim won't be a bad idea after all, don't you think?
Wrangler tells us that “Broken Twill” was introduced to the market in Winter 2013 in the Crank denim fit and this season the apparel company takes this one step further with the arrival of the Broken Twill denim jacket, due in-stores from April and retailing for R799.
Another centre-piece of Wrangler’s winter offering is the iconic back-embroidered café-race style jacket which is set to become a collector’s item for the denim aficionado. Priced at R799, this piece was designed by Angela Fenn, Wrangler denim designer, who took her inspiration from the Wrangler archives.
Complementing the range is the introduction of a new Wrangler fit, the Greensboro. A regular fit, sitting alongside the Crank and Ace, the Greensboro has been carefully designed for comfort. And with a slight taper from the knee to the bottom hem, it gives the impression of a slimmer leg for a clean, modern fit. I like the sound of that! Street Kid has skinny legs after all.
