StreetKid chats to Bona magazine about freedom post ā€˜94

Iā€™m not usually one who writes about oneself but chatting to Bona Magazine about freedom, amongst other things, is one of many conversations I like to have with people. Such conversations are engaging, thought provoking and you end up learning quite a few things not only about yourself, but also about other peopleā€™s views and opinions on a subject matter.

In case you didnā€™t know, Bona asked four young South Africans multiple questions around freedom ā€“ from what the word means to them to other issues pertaining to the subject matter. As much as it looks easy on the published article, answering those questions (and shooting) was quite a challenge. I must admit that being a ā€œschmodelā€ is not an easy job but thanks to my friend Songezo Gxalaba as well as Nomsa Madida, Sonia Mokheseng, Phila Tyekana and Andile Mathebula (photographer) for making the shoot so much fun!

The April issue is still on sale if youā€™d like to read more about our thoughts on the matter.
