Ukhozi FM's Phindi P Phewa Honoured as African Female Musician of the Year at Ladies in Media Awards, Ghana
Phindi P Phewa, the acclaimed gospel artist and dynamic radio presenter on UKhozi FM, was recognised with the African Female Musician of the Year Award at the prestigious Ladies in Media Awards in Ghana last night, following her award in 2024 as African Inspirational Gospel Artist she was awarded in Nigeria. This accolade highlights her exceptional talent, dedication, and significant contributions to gospel music.
Phindi P Phewa’s journey in the music industry is as inspiring as it is transformative. Beginning her career as a backing vocalist, she has risen to become a leading artist with her own record, proving that perseverance and passion can open doors to extraordinary opportunities.
In addition to her musical achievements, Phindi P Phewa is a familiar voice on UKhozi FM. She hosts “Ulibo Lokuqala” from Tuesday to Friday between 3-5am and “Ebukhoneni” on Sundays from 9am to 12pm—continuing the legacy once carried by the late Zanele Mbokazi’s revered show, formerly known as “Eshilo.”
