Gogwana’s sophomore album, Uhadi Synth, released in 2016, further cemented his status as a leading figure in the South African jazz scene. In addition to his acclaimed albums, Gogwana has achieved international recognition through his collaboration with Brownswood Records, a UK-based label. He served as a composer and bandleader for a compilation album of South African composers, released in January 2021. Furthermore, Gogwana was a key figure in the composition and arrangement team for the legendary South African jazz opera, King Kong, originally scored by the great Todd Matshikiza.
