The first-ever Motherland International Blues and Jazz Festival, a tribute to the rich musical heritage and dynamic jazz and blues scene of South Africa is set to make its debut in South Africa this Summer.
Against the backdrop of our nation's cultural tapestry, this groundbreaking event will be held on 27 October 2024 at Naledi Community Hall in Soweto, offering an intimate and a memorable experience for music enthusiasts of all generations.

At the core of our mission lies the essence of Africa, captured in the timeless tradition of Call and Response. The festival goers will be serenaded by an exceptional lineup of talent, including Smoke J Lawrence: Renowned for his unique sound and captivating performances. Also set to illuminate the stage will be the Soweto Family Band, bringing their dynamic blend of traditional rhythms and modern jazz, Nkosaza M, Sawubona Music Jam Band, fusing diverse influences into a rhythmic and soulful performance, Ian King acclaimed for His emotional playing and deep musicality, Themba Msomi, Simunye Theatrical Faces and Tshepo JR Mokoena ft, Lindo Summer.
The Motherland International Blues and Jazz Festival aims to highlight the rich, diverse talents of South Africa’s music scene while fostering a community spirit through the universal language of music. This event will be a vibrant fusion of traditional blues sounds and modern jazz innovations, offering an experience that celebrates the essence of South African artistry.
