Sangria, Tapas, coca…. one would have thought Spain moved to Johannesburg last night with the launch of VickyCristina’s with Bombay Sapphire® Gin. Having two locations in Umhlanga Rocks and Morningside, Durban, this Spanish restaurant recently opened its doors to Jo’burgers in Hyde Park in colours that represent them – "Black! with red or yellow, or red and yellow". And with the music, flamenco and tango dancers, it ‘s set to be one of the hottest spots in town. ~~Ngqumakho!~~ LOL

Sticking to the theme, multifaceted media personality Zuraida Jardine, fashion designer, Craig Jacobs, and actress Carmel Fischer all came out to play with the rest of the invited guests and Salsa’d the night away along the Spanish guitar player that was also part of the night’s entertainment.

Inspired by the Spanish Gastronomy, the menu has been created for enjoyment and although they take it very seriously, one can relax and savour the moment as much as the meal. Less formal and more inclusive than the word “gourmet” implies, they call is la vida love food – and they invite you to share the love.
