Soweto Sun and Brooklyn Nets dominate Jr. NBA Johannesburg League 2018 finals
The Jr. NBA Johannesburg League2018 finals took place on Sunday, 9 September at St Peters College. The action-packed league was brought together in partnership with Ford South Africa. It was a closely fought battle for the championship trophy for both the female and male teams.
The Jr. NBA Johannesburg Girls League winners, The Soweto Sun with Vice President & Managing Director of NBA Africa, Amadou Gallo Fall.
In the female finals, it was the Soweto Sun battling it out against the Phoenix Mercury. The Debutants in the final - team Soweto Sun, brought their fighting spirt to the game and walked away victorious. The boy’s final was just as riveting, the tip-off was between the Brooklyn Nets taking on the San Antonio Spurs. The Brooklyn Nets led throughout the game and eventually to the Jr. NBA Johannesburg League trophy.
