Debut Album Relaunch by Jazz Saxophonist and Composer, Linda Tshabalala

Linda Tshabalala is set to enchant audiences with the re-launch of her debut album titled “Convergence: Bekezela Siyeza, at Chiesa di Pazzo Lupi in Melville, Johannesburg on the 28th of March 2024.

The award-winning Jazz Saxophonist and composer will captivate jazz enthusiasts at an event that promises an evening of soulful emotive melodies. Doors will open at 6pm, with the set aimed to start at 7h30pm.

Linda is an extraordinarily gifted musician from Johannesburg. Having graduated from the University of Cape Town, her debut album already garnered acclaim from critics and fans alike for its innovative approach to Jazz.

The sound of her album, Convergence: Bekezela Siyeza is that of a jazz melting pot, seamlessly blending traditional African and contemporary sounds. When it was initially launched back inb2021, the album received great initial acclaim which led to her winning the “Best Newcomer Jazz” award at the Mzansi Jazz Awards in 2021.

Tshabalala was also a nominee for the Jazz Artist of The Year at the 2022 Basadi In Music Awards.

“I am so excited about this relaunch. This is about re-introducing my music to new audiences as well as my current audience, and connecting with them in a way I was not able to initially. I believe in my music, and I believe that it deserves the opportunity to reach jazz listeners, and collectors in a deeper and much more meaningful way.”
